FOUNDER & MIDWIFE

Liz Stika

As a midwife, mother, and gardener, I love the quiet process of watching things grow.  I love teaching, creating, crafting, and all things folk - and if you come by the birth center, you will see how much I love plants!

I am passionate about creating an environment where you feel free to be yourself, breathe, and know without a doubt we are partners in your care and to help you feel grounded in the moment.

I love when my clients can find their voice - physically and metaphorically - and when I can support the experience they’ve prepared for.  I feel strongly that there is no right way to labor and I feel privileged to be a part of the spectrum of choices available to Utah families.

Prior to midwifery I worked as a field director and guide for a wilderness adventure therapy.  This experience helped to shape my philosophy and approach to midwifery care.

I have served as the president of the Utah Midwives Organization, taught workshops for the Midwives College of Utah, and facilitated several annual statewide midwifery conferences.  I am certified by the North American Registry of Midwives, licensed as a Direct-Entry Midwife by the State of Utah, and a registered NARM preceptor.

BIRTH ASSISTANT

Lindsay Dougal

Lindsay is excited to join Two Leaves Midwifery in the role of Birth Assistant. As a full-spectrum doula and childbirth educator with over seven years of experience, she grounds her practice in the belief that birth is raw and powerful—a true rite of passage. Lindsay specializes in trauma-aware care and mindfulness. When not working with birthing families, Lindsay adores spending time with her supportive partner and children, baking, teaching yoga, and creating.

BIRTH ASSISTANT

Lacey Cobbley

Lacey is a Lifelong Care Professional with Certificates in Nursing, Physical Education, and Women’s Health.  Her knowledge of the body's patterns and her excellent bedside manner make her an incredible addition to the team at Two Leaves Midwifery.  She is a mother of 3 and an aunty to many more.  She is excited to assist you in preparation of birth, delivery of the baby, postpartum care, and is an excellent resource for those looking for assistance with navigating the medical system along the way.

RECEPTION

Dianne Bayles

Dianne Bayles is passionate about empowering women through education and choice. After being a stay at home mom for 20 years, Dianne became a doula (@the.mimi.doula) and her first client was her oldest daughter who birthed out of hospital.  She was able to assist the midwife and catch her first baby in the water.  It changed her life forever and she started working as a receptionist, doula, birth assistant, childbirth educator and student midwife.  When not doing birth work, Dianne loves baking, sewing, reading, playing pickleball, floating in the river and spending time with her devoted husband of 31 years, 6 children, their spouses and 4 grandbabies.

OFFICE MANAGER

Christina Hall

My name is Christina - I've been the office manager at Two Leaves for one year now. I have a master’s degree in public administration and nonprofit management; I've worked with local nonprofits, in recruiting, and supply chain management. I'm really enjoying putting my skills to use with the midwifery practice and hanging out around birth. I love supporting this beautiful community that gives and receives gentle, skilled, patient-centered care. You will find me in the office some days and working from home other days; sometimes you'll get an enthusiastic greeting from my 3-year-old in the office with us.  In my free time, I enjoy reading, knitting, singing, and traveling. I just had my second baby in March. It's great to be back from maternity leave and working on projects at the birth center again!

ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Rachel Favero

Hello! I'm Rachel and I work behind the scenes at Two Leaves helping with accounting and I love being part of a practice that collaborates so well to care for all aspects of a client's needs. Gathering for staff meetings I enjoy listening as different names are mentioned and care plans discussed with thought for mothers, babies, partners, and even their family and extended community of support. Witnessing this flow and depth of care has been a favorite part of my work.

Away from the office I can be found swimming in rivers, exploring a new mountain trail, or tending to my gardens that are home to over a hundred varieties of medicinal plants and flowers. I am passionate about advocating for the protection of our land, water, and air, continually in awe of the beauty and bounty of the natural world. Above all, I love being a mother to my three kiddos who are great adventure partners and luckily true happy campers.

Though you may only ever talk with me on the phone or via email, I'm always happy to answer questions & enjoy helping the families that we get to care for.
